When Max eats it, the kids arrive and tie up Max and Shred. Then, Max finds a S'More on the table, but it was a trap. Max and Shred decide to stop arguing and work as a team, but then, they find that the kids are gone. Max's camp was also bad because he tried to make them jump out of their helicopter. Also, when Shred comes back from his camp, all of his kids have a really bad time because his heaters didn't work and they instead made it even colder. Kaylee then leaves with a hammer so that she can get her former porcupine leader for making her renovate his house. Abby asks Kaylee for a job and Kaylee gives her a job as the mascot where she would have to dress up and greet everyone. Also, Howie ends up getting Abby a job at the Yogurt Yeti. They decide that Max get half the kids and Shred get half the kids to see which one would be better. Max and Shred have there camping job, but they begin to argue because Max wanted to do it old-fashioned and Shred wanted to do it with a lot of technology. Later, Abby asks Howie if she can get her a job because she needed to get Jake a birthday present. he then gives Max and Shred his job as porcupine leader and leaves. They question him about this and he says he didn't care. Max and Shred see their porcupine leader being irresponsible. Shred says that her Junior Porcupines leader was just making them renovate his house. Then, Kaylee comes and says that when she was a Junior Porcupine, she had to do a lot of things with furniture. Shred says that when he was a Junior Porcupine, he made them all scientific safety measures and Max says that when he was a Junior Porcupine, his club ate a tree. A club called the Junior Porcupines comes in and get yogurt. Meanwhile, Abby is dating a new guy named Jake. Max likes Shred's version better and plans to put them in, but Shred says they have to wait for side effects where Max would become afraid of vanilla. The show is exec produced by George Doty IV ( iCarly, Victorious, Drake & Josh), while exec producing for Breakthrough is Joan Lambur, Ira Levy, Peter Williamson, Nat Abraham and Michael McGuigan. Starring in the show are Johnny Gray as Max Asher, Jake Goodman as Alvin Ackerman, as well as Emilia McCarthy and Saara Chaudry.Shred gives Max the Yogurt Yeti's "Very Vanilla" flavor and then he gives Max his own version. While the show was made initially to appeal mainly to boys, the viewership thus far has been split evenly between boys and girls. The show is targeted at six-to-12-year-olds within that, says Piekarz, the “sweet spot” is eight to 11. “The second season of the show was an obvious choice because the show was popular and there were still so many stories to tell,” Piekarz told Playback Daily. The new season will, like the first, air on YTV Canada and Nickelodeon, and contain “meatier” storylines, says Jamie Piekarz, director of content, YTV, Treehouse, Nickelodeon Canada. A celebrity snowboarder and a science boy-genius, respectively, the boys strike up an unlikely friendship when the two become roommates when Max moves to Colorado to train for the snowboarding Winter Cup.įilming for the second season, tentatively scheduled to air this fall, began on April 20. Filming on the second season of Max & Shred is underway, with 13 new episodes being shot at Toronto’s Revival Studio.
